Outline for April 21 Camp Meeting
Address the Adult Level Leader Assignments:
- The Stake YW Camp Goals. I would like you to review the goals with your level. If we encourage our goal, it will be easier to tell the levels that we will not have ward time or ward testimony time or ward clicks within the levels. Remind them frequently of our goal and how each decision and activity we participate in will strengthen the goal. Our camp is unique to our goals and is focusing on strengthening the bond within levels. If the wards have needs, it should be addressed in their individual ward YW activities.
- Money Collection. The level leaders will not collect money. The ward Presidencies are well familiar with the correct process of money collection and will take care of it in each ward. On May 20 the money will be due. We will ask the presidents how many YW will be attending and request the appropriate amount from each ward.
- Priesthood Leaders. Each ward is required to provide 2 priesthood leaders to attend camp. The YW Presidencies will be responsible with their bishopric to provide these brethren. The men will be utilized in all aspects of camp, including: set-up, take down, zip line, cooking, rope course, hiking, fires, service, cleaning, etc., etc., etc....
- Certification. No certification assignments will be given to the levels. The certification that is done at camp will be provided by the stake through the hikes, rope course, etc. No other formal certification will take place.
- YW Tent Buddies. The level leaders will ask each YW whom she would like as a tent buddy. Each YW may request 1 or 2 other YW. This way, each YW will have al least one buddy she will be bunking with. Then tent assignments can be made by the level leaders.
- Tents. Level leaders will determine the number of YW, leaders, and youth leaders in their level. Then all YW Presidencies will gather with the stake YW camp leaders and divide up the tents from each ward, according to each levels need. YW Presidencies, please determine the number of tents available in each ward.
- Youth Leaders. The level leaders will meet with the Youth Leaders to direct and assist with their assignments.
- Brainstorm. Let Youth Leaders brainstorm ideas to achieve the stake goal.
